Rebecca Torres

Rebecca Torres is a Glasgow based designer who studied Fashion Design and Manufacturing for three years at Cardonald College in Glasgow. During that time she assisted on photo shoots for the Sunday Herald newspaper.

She continued her further education study in Fashion Business at Caledonian University. In her final year she showcased her graduate collection alongside other young potential designers at Glasgow Fashion Week 2007.

After graduation, Rebecca worked in London with designer Nova Dando. During her time in London she had assisted on many photo shoots, memorably with singer/ songwriter Rosin Murphy, and created garments for music videos and TV adverts.

Her fashion label 'TORRES' hosted it's first collection in April 2008 and the response has been overwhelming and unexpected.

Rebecca has profiled in magazines and editorials including The List, Borne, Evening Times, i-on and Vice.

Most recently she has been nominated one of the 'Creative 30', short listing 30 of the most creative talent in the UK, at only 23 years of age and was also showcased in The Herald as one of the top five designers to discover in 2009.
